INTRODUCTION

Moonflow ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Moonflow mobile application (the "Service"). We take your privacy extremely seriously, especially given the sensitive nature of health and cycle data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using Moonflow, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal Information

  • Email address (for account creation and communication)
  • Date of birth (for astrology calculations)
  • Birth time and location (optional, for natal chart accuracy)

Health Data

  • Menstrual cycle dates and duration
  • Symptoms, mood, and energy levels
  • Sleep quality and daily check-in data
  • Journal entries and AI Oracle conversations

Automatically Collected Data

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App usage analytics (feature usage, session duration)
  • Crash reports and performance data

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Core functionality: Cycle predictions, astrology calculations, AI coaching, and community features
  • Personalization: Tailoring your Oracle responses, horoscope insights, and cycle predictions to your unique data
  • Service improvement: Understanding how features are used to improve the app experience
  • Communication: Sending account-related emails, support responses, and optional product updates
  • Safety: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or security threats

DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored in encrypted Supabase databases with row-level security (RLS) enabled. This means:

  • All health data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard AES-256 encryption
  • Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data — no user can see another user's information
  • Database access requires authentication tokens that are unique to your account
  • We use secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
  • AI Oracle conversations are stored with the same encryption standards as all other health data

DATA SHARING

We do NOT sell your personal data. Ever.

We may share limited information with:

  • Infrastructure providers: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting), and Apple (App Store) — only as needed to operate the Service
  • AI processing: Oracle conversations are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. These conversations are not used to train AI models
  • Analytics: Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be used for product analytics. Individual health data is never included
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

COMMUNITY DATA

The Moonflow community feature is fully anonymous. Posts are associated with cycle phase and optional mood tags — never with usernames, real names, or identifiable information. Community content can be filtered by cycle phase, but no personally identifiable data is visible to other users.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export: Download your data in a portable format
  • Correct: Update or correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Moonflow is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and health records are permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
